I’ve been toying with the idea of starting this blog for several years now. I’m constantly thinking of ideas for new articles, new things to discuss. But then I always come back to the same thing: What would be the point? Why would anyone else be interested? I’m certainly no expert when it comes to personal finance. In some cases, my life can be seen as more of a cautionary tale!
It finally occurred to me that this was exactly the reason I should write this blog! I’m a 34 year old single girl who has been through it all financially. I’ve done well. I’ve struggled. I’ve crashed and burned, only to pick up the pieces and start to rebuild. I’ve followed all the “popular” financial advice, and suffered the consequences. And now, I’m finding new motivation and a unique direction.
I’m finding that personal finance is a life-long journey. Hopefully by sharing my past, where I am now, and where I am going, I can offer some warnings and inspiration to others. And hopefully learn some things from you along the way.
Are you ready to follow me on my path to financial independence?
I am in no way a financial expert. You should consult a professional who is familiar with your situation prior to trying anything posted on Growing Her Worth. I am in no way responsible for actions you take because of what is shared here.
I also realize that from time to time, my spelling and grammar may be questionable. Please, please be kind! In writing this blog, I have promised myself that I will resist my tendency to stare at everything I write for hours on end, scouring for mistakes and worrying about tone.
