You may have noticed that my writing schedule changed this week. I usually aim for a post on Tuesday and Thursday. But with the Holiday on Thursday, I decided to do a post on Monday and Wednesday instead. And, since I was good and actually worked ahead, it enabled me to also write a short post for today (Friday).
I’m still playing around with blogging, and figuring out what works for me. Tuesday and Thursday seemed like a good idea, since it only meant two posts a week. But, I’m a procrastinator, and those haven’t been the best days for me to post (as seen by my recent late in the day posts). Also, I think it would be better for people following this blog if I posted more frequently. I don’t really know right now what I’m going to do. So, for now, expect things to keep changing as I figure out what works best for me.
I’ve also decided to get away from signing my posts as “Ms.W”. The Ms. thing just seems very odd and impersonal to me. That being said, I do write about a lot of very personal things, so I’d like to stay somewhat anonymous. I haven’t told anyone I know that I’m blogging, not even my boyfriend. I’d like to be able to make this blog on “open-book” on what I am experiencing and feeling, and I definitely don’t want to hurt anyone’s feelings. Of course, the few times I’ve mentioned reading a blog to me BF, he’s looked at me like I was making up words. Of course, this is the same man who I was talking to about my parents getting i-Phones, and he looked at me and says “you know that I have no idea what that is, right?” Lol! Technology is not his strong-point!
So, I’ve decided to go with “Cindy”. It’s not my given name, or any variation of my given name. However, it is a nickname of sorts that’s been attributed to me since I was a toddler, and I definitely identify with that name. Close family members would read this and immediately know it was me. That being said, my close family members don’t read financial blogs, so I’m not too worried about being discovered. The point is that friends and coworkers would never realize it was my blog, and that allows me to be more open about what I write.
Hope everyone had a fabulous Fourth of July! Enjoy the weekend!
